direct air into filters

My mate has a 306 gti and got the piper cross direct air VIPER kit.

His car went on rolling road and made 5 BHP. I think thats a really good gain.

I got the apexi twin fillter just wonder if its worth having direct air into these two or getting two of these vipers?

Any ideas
