Hell i haven\'t even used a full tank of fuel in the past 6 weeks, which is really good for the bank balance.

I filled the FD this morning and now its on empty. Only went to Manchester city and was testing the delimiter which was fitted last week ;)

On another note, We have 3 FD\'s and siblings coming home at all hours. (I just got home at 2:30am and as always let it idle for a couple of mins before switching it off. Never had complaints from neighbours. Although the chap in the street behind left a note on my window once saying the car is too loud!

He\'ll probably say nothing more on the subject. I have to admit i thought it was over noise when he asked me over at the fence ! It barbles now very nicely in the downpipe when its warming up, sounds very nice. He\'s had to quiet a life and now hes retired i think they blame us for all their minor problems.

I\'ll just ignore him again ! I definately know we aren\'t bad neighbours and they are just moaning over nothing.

Its more a shame, he could do what ever he wanted outside and we wouldn\'t really bother.

The funny thing was i was thinking about getting a dragon mid-pipe before i had it tuned to see if i can get it to flame like johns rx7 ! Bust its still got its cat on for gods sake. Unless the first cat makes all the gasses dodgy and the second picks up the peices ???

It almost makes my mind up on weather or not to do it.

I will try my best to get it tuned in jan with pip, not just for his benifit, but i want to get it upto full boost before my warrenty runs out !!!

Thanks for all the threads, makes me feel alot better. Wounder what he would have said if it was bridgeported and had that wonderful beating heart soundtrack.

While i\'m here does anybody know any good companies to get a FMIC from that will allow me to hook it upto a standard twin initially and then a single in the next couple of years ???

Cheers

J.j.

You can still have your warranty even with PFC??

shaunwil

As far as im aware then i still have my warrenty with the pfc. Im making sure that the only work done with the pfc is done by him and im not touching the settings till the warrenty doesn\'t exist. The car still is only running at 7psi on full boost and pip say its running very nicely with good torque in the middle of the range.

Im just trying to work out what mods i fancy next.........

I\'m seriously thinking of saving up for an FMIC and uprated rad. I\'m thinking of trying to slowly build towards a big single. Although it will take quite alot of time to do anything major, years may pass with all the bits required.

You know you\'re in trouble when your PM count is nearly the same as your posts count..............

Thats the oddest thing. They usually complain about the noise, not very often. TBH i think they prefer me having this car, its much quieter than my fto.

The funny thing was that they where complaining about me gassing them. We dry all our clothes in the front room and the hallway. This is right next to where the exhaust is and yet i can never smell anything on my clothes !

I\'ll just leave them to it, may never speak to them again. Its more a case of saying sorry to late to talk and walk away !

Cheers for all the support :)

Well, within the first 2 days of owning my FD I popped around every house in my cul-de-sac (7 doors (not including the back doors, no) and apologised in advance for the noise level (as I\'ve never heard a car this noisy in my life) and informed them I could put the muffler on if need be, this was to every house.. but one, as he wasnt in when id knocked on the door, and it belonged to a deaf guy that despite telling him my name numerous times in the past he still can\'t get it right, the kind of guy you find yourself repeating the same sentence to again before he gets the chance to say \'what\'.

Not more than a couple of weeks later whilst pulling away from the drive he started shouting from his doorway and inbetween his random gesturing and spitting denture cream he informed me I was going to get reported and I was inconsiderate to everyone in the neighbourhood (this at 11am, on the one of only two days i drive the car), then slammed his door before I got chance to spit acid on his shoes.

Went on my un-merry way and returned not more than 10minutes later as it had wound me up so much I wanted to put his head through the wall .. knocked on his door and told him if he had a problem then he should have come knock on my door and had a chat to me about it first and not shake his fist from his doorway and run off, he backed down, said he\'d had a bad day (his excuse being he\'d fallen down the stairs .. a week ago, and was still bruised).

So anyway, to cut a short story shorter rather than ramble on and just make it \'short\' or at least not unnecessarily longer so that the point is lost within such excruciatingly bloated and incongruous text, it pays to cover your back in all eventualities, and not cut corners (ie. forgetting about the deaf guy), as for pollution, they have no comeback if its within the limits and they can complain all they like, although the less attention the better. Tell him to \'suck your exhaust pipe\' or something. Mine doesn\'t visibly kick out that much fumes however.

Warming up and cooling down I tend to drive a couple of minutes after starting up and just go [elmer fudd] vewwy vewwy quietly(..for a jet plane) and slow around the corner to the local industrial \'zone\', and just whir away slowly around there for a bit until it warms up, rather than sit idling away for 5 or 10 minutes. Same with cooling down. I\'m quite privileged to have such non-busy roads however. Curiously the bikers around here dont give a crap how much noise they make.

End of story. etc :)

I still want to put his head through the wall though...

shaunwil

He hasn\'t said anything since, thankfully. may have been a bad day but hell its not a loud car compaired to my last two cars. If i was changing my front pipe i know that i would put a silencer in the front pipe any way and spend the extra to reduce the chances of hassle.

The funniest thing is that its the middle of winter and he was complaining that he couldn\'t open the bed room window to get some fresh air because i was always in and out. Hell i think i only used it about 10 times in december.

Im just pulling up to the end of the drive now and seeing if that makes a difference. I just like getting to temp to 10-20 deg c and making sure that the oil has started to flow through the engine.

Just must have been a bad day for him  or his wife moaned at him so much he needed to show her that he was listening. TBH there wasn\'t much i could do to improve the matter anyway
