Can someone please tell me what is the best oil to use in a 93FD? And, do the battery\'s in jap versions varrie to the UK versions? I have a 93FD and the battery seems to go flat after a few days.

Castrol white bottle 10-30 or 10-40 woud be easiest to get hold of at this time of year. Halfords stock it. Just make sure its the mineral type. ;)

A battery is a battery, just make sure you get the correct type. Mazda recommend a 12V-43Ah/5hr type.

I use 10-30 Mazda Oil Mineral
Mazda recommends this oil
I think for the winter it is fine
For the summer, I still use it but always wonder if 10 - 40 would be best

Note however that this has been the subject of a non ending debate on forums worldwide

So really what you choose it is up to you

Blitz, your battery is probably knackered - they don\'t last forever and the weeks of sitting around while in transit and then never getting charged up properly often does them in. You may as well push out the boat and pop down Halfrauds or your local motor factors for a replacement with a 3 year warranty on it.

As for oil.....have a read up on here about using a small splosh of good 2 stroke oil in each tank of petrol.
