Just got car back from body shop and the front bumper is too low that it scrapes the road each time i go over and little bump, and probably wont make it over a speed bump!! The car has 17" aloys and standard suspension, whats the best solution to this problem?? (apart from changing back to the old bumper!) All help would be appreciated, cheers.

in the mean time try putting full lock on going over bumps may give you a marginal raise although not much & you will looks a tw4t going over speed humps like they\'re chicanes
Otherwise all you can really do is adjustable suspension which should go higher than the standard ones, mine used to catch but mine was silly low suspension to start with but tein HA\'s all the way up give me plenty of clearance now......
What front end have you gone for to be so low?

PS what tyres have you got on the 17\'s guess if you had too low profile that may of also lowered yer car........
Might even be able to get higher springs, coilovers or sumin for standard suspension i guess but folsk normally go for lower stuff so i could be making that up......

you sure its the front bumper?, mine scrapes I always though it was the bodykit but turned out to be the wheel arch liners

thanks for the replies, ive attached a pic of how low the car is, must be the suspension cos its too low, dont have any experience with rx7\'s but is it meant to be that low? (could jus be the bumper) And its definitly the bumper scraping, i need a quick and cheap solution, if anyone can tell me exactly what suspenion etc i need will be able to take it from there,
thanks

yep, it is the fusion front bumper, need to sort out the suspension thing before i get side skirts cos they\'ll end up scraping as well!

thought so.......it does look alarmingly low at the front are you sure the springs you have on the front aren\'t damaged at all....(IE cracked)..I have super down tanabe springs with a bilstein setup and I know the height of mine is as low if not sometimes looks lower than set ups with height adjustables.

Try standard springs first see if that makes a difference...probably your cheapest option for now...I have a set if your interested....springs and shocks if req!

Hi
That looks quite low at the front!!  Are you sure there is no aftermarket suspension.  I have HKS coilovers on mine, it is lowered quite a bit and looks about the same as yours!!!

Sorry to hyjack your thread Rex7777 but I have the same prob.
I scrap the front end each time I leave the petrol forecourt.
In fact my tyres are up inside the arches, take a look.
