Attention all rx owners. I too own a 3rd gen rx, and have cheap insurance through churchill, eight hundred pounds fullu comp, and im only 25 yrs old.

This could also be due to the fact that im a driving instructor!!!

As im a driving instructor i can get you a pass plus certificate for around one hundred pound to get you up to 30% off your insurance. So if your interested get intouch!!

Save save save.

Hi Fletch

Can you advise what benifits do get from insurnce companies whne you become a fully qualified adi, are you insured with them  for you works car as well (hope your not teaching people in the RX :)

I am currently doing my adi training, passed my part two prctical last week:) moving onto part three early in the new year, i was wanting to talk to another adi to discuss part three and of course rx stuff, dont know any other adi\'s, and not ones who own a rx7, if you ever have any spare time let me know and we can compare rx\'s and I can pick your brains about part 3:)

Your are in rochdale, I am in Royton, Oldham, I travel a lot through rochdale and I must say I do not see any other rx\'s are you out and about a lot?

Cheers

Hi Lee,

Good to hear from you. Im currently working for BSM on the trainee licence, as i have yet to pass my part 3. Not sure exactly what benefits you get, just know that its loads cheaper if your an adi. I was originally getting quotes for thirteen hundred quid and i had to have a tracker installed. Not sure what churchill are like for mods, because not got any on my rx yet.

I drive it around rochdale a bit, but as its my second car not as much as id like.

We should get together soon to compare rx\'s and i may beable to help you with your adi tests.

Hi Fletch

Nice to hear from you, I plan to do the same as you, work on a trainee licensee before going for my part 3.
Would be good to meet up, not that many rx\'s about.

I have a 92 type X (manual), just the basic mods done, apexi air filters, hks blow of valve, cat removed, rage exhaust, 17 inch wheels, angel eye rear lights, carbon spoiler, carbon bonnet.

I have mine insured as a second car with limited miles (8000)garaged at night, at a cost of 360 quid, I am 30 with no convictions (the DSA dont like us perspective instructors to have too many points as I am sure you are aware:)

I am doing my training at Stockport instructor college, I am in tomorrow for the begining of my part 3.

Would be good to meet up in the new year, when the weather is little beter,  bit too much ice for my liking at the mo:)

Speak to you soon.

fletch

Alrite mate,

Im away for the new year, up in Edingburgh given the rx a good run as i get her back tomorrow after the rebuild. She\'s on a 95 plate, efini, no major mods yet, but shes just had the ECU uprated, and the boost altered which ive been told should increase the bhp by 25% if thats true.

Do you fancy getting together one sunday, as that would be the best day for me? How does the 8th of january sound? Where would be best for you? How does birch services sound, can\'t realy think of anywhere else thats in between.

Let us know if thats good, and invite anyone else you know with a rx who lives in the area.

You can text me if you want on 07876646878.

All the best in the new year

Fletch

P.S. If you can avoid the trainee license before your part three test do so, if not try and not go with BSM!!!!

Hi i\'m driving an FD and paying £450 fully comp, through Adrian Flux in Norwich. I don\'t know if this because of my postcode, or because i\'m an hgv driver (unlikely ) but they might be worth a try if you are struggling.

Eddie

Hi

That is a good price, I believe OL is not the best post code for insurance.
What is your status, age no claims that sort of stuff.
I am 31, 11 ync, car is garaged, clean license, cat 1 alarm, and I can get no thing near that price unless I insurre as a classic with limited miles, which takes it down to 360.

I will give them a try next year when my insurance is up.

Fletch I have PM\'d you about the mini meet.

Cheers

Glad to see there are other Rx7\'s in the area that i can have doo\'s with on my way to see fletch heehee.

You guys should get yourselfs over to the N/W meets that this club organises...

Fletch - lets hope you have got a 25% increase in performance....you\'ll need it when i get my magnex cat back exhaust on ;)

CAN U TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE PASS PLUS SCHEME. CHEERS.

fletch

Pass plus is a certificate you can get from a qualified to reduce your car insurance. It costs around 100 pounds. Check with your insurance company first, as they might not give you the reduction. if they do you could get upto 30% reduction on your premium.

hope that helps mate

What would i have to do to get this pass plus? (apart from pay £100)
Mazda Rx-7 R1 Import

Tiddy

Insurance discounts are usually only available for people who have just passed their driving tests, in my experience anyway.

fletch. Can i have your email add mate, would like to discuss the pass plus stuff. If not then email me on samigtr@hotmail.co.uk

Thanks....

Freddy

Definitely worth getting a pass plus. In my first year of driving, my premium was halved. :)

D1 WTF

i thought pass plus had to be done within first year of passing test or something like that?  if it can be done at anytime, where do i sign? lol
