Hi Guys,

Anyone seen these on UK ebay????? I think they are both 2ndhand although both sets of pics look like they are from a lhd (i.e. american) car even thought they say they are located within the uk:confused:. The prices look good compared to trying to get everything seperately from the US, however if they are from the US there could be issues with the kit fouling on the RHD steering rack.

Kit 1

Kit 2

Anyone care to comment on the quality of the kit, the risks of buying one of these kits and does everything in these ads look sound?

Cheers,

Paul

I may be wrong but the 2nd one looks like the wastegate pipe is all wrong for a UK car.It  may have issues with the steering.Wonder if that is why it is for sale.

Thanks for the reply Carl. Is exactly what I thought, it looks a nice bit of kit, but the manifold and downpipe arrangement looks far too big (spread out) for it to clear the steering column. I think it is also a private auction and the seller has a zero rating, so not sure what to make of that:confused: :(

Any more comment on this will be more than welcome,

Cheers,

Paul:)

DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT BIDDING ON THIS! It\'s a ****in scam. Had a run in with this c*nt a while back. Notice how his user ID is only a few days old and he has no feedback. BEWARE!!!!

Cheers Millspeed. I never intended on bidding on these things, but just wanted to know whether or not it was a scam. I had my suspicions and now hopefully no one in the club will get scammed.

Ebay is becoming a joke, it seems that anything going for any kind of real value, which looks like a reasonable deal (not even an obviously cheap deal) could quite easily be a scam more often than not:(

Hi Clive, Paul
These cars are left hand drives... notice the brake servo is on the right side of the engine bay as you look at it from the front.

Guys unless it is either a reputable vendor or you can either check it out in person or get a mate to do it for you, I really think that it is just too much of a risk. I bid on some stuff occaisionally and have had decent luck but then again my budget is set a bit lower.
Pity, it looked like the kit might have had some promise to it if genuine.
cheers, e-bay junkie trying to go cold turkey over christmas.....
