Hi ive have just picked my 1993 type x and havent been able to take the grin off my face, what an awesome car. Previously i owned a jap import celica but this doesnt come close to the rx, but then you already know that. Just a quick question my speedo is in kmh, how much am im looking at to get this changed, the speedo in my car is nice and it has knight sports on it, so i may keep it, is there a way to change kmh to mph and keep the clock. Also i live in south wales could you tell me where the nearest specialist is to me. My car has just had a full service by wgt auto in chesire, this is a bit far to go, so is there one in wales.

You don\'t have to change the speedo it is converted via a chip

If its still in K\'s it may also be restricted to 112 mph.

Manually doing it is easy enough to do.  Buy the £45 chip off ebay and its about 30-40 mins work.  I did it and know sod all about cars

Thx for the info, if it is restricted what will be the limit in kmh. I did 180kmh in it on the way home today:cool .

The way I work it -180kph would convert to 112.5mph
