finally heard from the insurance

Just an update really on the situ with me car...

Spoke to the engineer yesterday and basically its as i thought, a write off.

Now the guy said the chances are its going to be a CAT B but that wasn\'t official. If it is a CAT B I won\'t be seeing her again (sob sob) they won\'t let me have the salavge title back unless its a C or D. But seeing as this was unofficial there is a still a chance that it might be a C. He said I had "banana\'d the chassis" and it needed a new shell. So from this you can all imagine how bad the car was :rolleyes:

He said that he recon\'d the value to be about £5k but I said I had a bill from the place I bought it from for £7500 only 3 weeks before. So he said that would probably be a good indication on what I would get.

He\'s phoning me back today or tomorrow after he\'s done some more digging around on the value side. I told him that these cars tend to sell for what ever people are willing to pay with them being so rare and that prices can exeed 9-10k for an M reg 94.

We\'ll see anyway.

All those requesting parts still in/on the car, looks like you\'ll have to find the breakers yard it ends up in. I\'m guessing that one in Manchester that already has a few RX7\'s in. It will be a good find for someone, engine was sweet as a nut, nice Volk wheels, Apexi Coilovers

I don\'t know 100% yet...

If its a CAT B, then no

A or B means the car is not safe to repair and they won\'t allow you to buy it back in case you try and fix it and get it back on the road.

They told me mine was an A but im not sure if that was just to shut me up.

It was so bad though its not like I would of bothered trying to fix it, I just wanted some parts.  They just dont understand lol.
