OOOOOOOOOOOOh! what mods are they going to be then,

tell all, anything exciting like another turbo or maybe a good ol injection of laughing gas???

:D

i would love to go to rotorstock, just hope I get everything organised in time. Whats it like then people is it just the day or is it a weekend event, now the idea of a fun filled weekend packed full of rotors sounds pretty wild to me.

Mine cost £150 !

Still going to cost me alot to get it reasonable, though. Can your contact get any RX-2 seats?

In South Africa they came with a very high backed seat, thats what I really want. Looks like your car hasnt got them, though.

I\'ll ask him for you Martiny, I think i know the 1\'s you mean are they the 1\'s with meshing in the head rests?

OLSKOOL;)

Was the green RX2 on ebay a while back or some thing? looks familiar. I recall there being a story about the number plate ;)

Very jealous :D

No, no mesh, the back goes slighlty tapered in ward near the top, and then the top is tilted slightly forward.

I\'ll try a nd find a picture somewhere. I have a US parts catalogue, but their seats had a seperate headrest.

Hiya ppl,
just thought I\'d give anyone who\'s interested and update on the 2, spoke to the shipping dudes yesterday( thanx Flectron, your helps been invaluable:D , I\'ll remember it mate). All the details have been sent, I\'ll be doing the money transfer on Monday morning, if all goes well, it could be on its way by the end of the month:cool . Could take upto 60 days from then, so gives me enuff time to go to Vegas/Sanfran and get married etc, then come back and wait for my wedding present from me to me lol:D

Regards OLSKOOL

Nice to hear that your plan is coming together. Getting maried in vegas then coming home to the 2. Could life get any better? no i didnt think so.:D
I also think that you should start a new thread for your car and the experience of buying it. The info will be priceless on the importing and also on the car.
  cheers, and all the best.

Richard

I appologise for hijaking the thread a bit but  Martin I may be able to help  regarding seats for the \'2\'.
I have a pair of 1000/1300 vinyl ones which I remember to be similar

These have a leatherette type finish - I think the RX\'s were "smoother"

As far as Old Skool goes - roll on Rotorstock:D

Rich;)

flectron

hehe is there nothing you haven\'t got a pair of in your shed rich?? :rollin

Did you call Dave?

sorry martin, just spotted this.
i haven\'t yet. been sorta swamped at work and wanted to sort electrics first. doing that this weekend - found a couple of blown fuses, got a bunch of new ones, and i\'m about to go and stick em in. fingers crossed...

i\'ve also got a couple of leads for local garages that i might try - i\'m a bit nervous about a 2 hr drive unregistered and besides, i\'m not sure when i\'ll have time for a day away:(.

thanks for the contact tho, i may very well need it.
gord:D

flectron

ok progress.
fuses sorted out almost everything - wipers & washers, dash lights, horn, indicators...
but, still no hazards. AND when the hazard button is on, no indicators...?
anyone got any ideas what might cause this?
cheers
gord:D

MikeLMR

the hazard switch is quite complicated if I recall correctly.

When not on the indicators are powered by an ignition live and either side are not linked but they do pass through the hazzard switch

when the hazard switch is on it switches the indicator flasher over to a permenant live and connects the two sides together.

I would guess you have lost the permenant (spelling :D ) live connection to your hazzard switch.
