Been looking at the options out there for datalogging above and beyond what a datalogit will do following some interesting discussions with someone who uses an OMEX ECU and innovate wideband (neither purchased from me, so this is not an advert, just information). Anyway the analysis software will spit out AFR tables that match the tables in your ECU for RPM and Load, which makes looking for problem areas in the early stages of tuning a real doddle.

Now there is a new logging box from the innovate that logs 2 axis acceleration as well, and some friends of mine are using the incredible race techology unit, which has GPS as well, allowing you to plot your course around a track. This has really piqued my curiousity.

Well the post below came to me on one of the lists today, and I though I would share with you what some people are doing with their logs.

And with a bit of jiggery-pokery you can turn them into something like
this, which is me driving -- far too slowly :-) -- round Snetterton:

I\'ve managed to get my fc-edit to log direct to table as above.

The rest of the logging information does look real interesting, and very useful.

Now that is a neat toy. About £2K, but the ultimate accessory.

Max,

I didn\'t know you could hook up your wideband to the PowerFC to give AFR readings with rpm, load etc.

Maybe now your engines will stay in tact a little longer!!

Bill, the DL-1 datalogger is £499+VAT. So still affordable! Which is the £2K version?

Cheers,

Look at the drive data website. You take a DL-1, a camera, a box of tricks and some nice software and you are 2K the poorer. However you then have a near ultimate logging solution, at least at less than BTCC or F1 prices.

Go on Bill - buy it!!

Minor problem there. I would need a running car to make use of it.

For a few quid more you could get yourself a Pectel T6 2000 ECU, which I think Bill would agree is a very good ECU.

Bill - great post.  Is there meant to be sound with the video?

I\'m looking for a unit that does multi-camera inputs (3ccd quality if possible) - I have emailed them.
Thanks,
