Its probably been asked time and time again but ive just got a few questions.

Whats the max boost you can run on the stock engine

What sort of numbers you can get with bolt on\'s.

Any other little tweeks that can be done to make it that little tiny bit quicker without going biger cooler, porting or turbo.

Thanks

Brett

It all depends on how long you want your housings and seals to last.  Whats the engines current status in terms of mile/rebuild/servicing?

Before you embark on any mods you should undertake a full engine service, check all the leads and earths too.

Once your happy the engine is sound I would install the following:-

Oil temp guage
Another boost guage mounted in the line of sight
Electronic boost controller, set to 7.5-8psi maximum

then:-

Cat back exhaust (you can Dcat but then you get MOT issues...not to mention boost issues (hence EBC set to standard levels)
Panel filter or Induction kit

A free-er flowing exhaust system will net you quite a few BHP (i dont how many exactly, but I suspect 10-15bhp is realistic)

You can increase the boost above standard, but I dont recommend it unless you want your engine to live fast and die young!  If your desperate for extra power, then budget for a decent rebuild with porting work, and a new ECU to control the fueling.
