Fear of Detonation!

Afternoon All...

My RX has a Blitz Nur Spec cat back exhaust with the cats in place and Blitz air filters on it but the ECU hasn\'t been upgraded.

It\'s due to go to WGT at the end of the month for the cats to be removed, a wide downpipe and the ECU done.

What I don\'t want to happen is the engine expires before I can get it to Pip\'s.

Does anyone have any clue as to the liklihood of it running lean with the mods that it has on it or am I worrying unduly.

Being new to these and have had a TVR expire somewhat dramatically I don\'t really want it to happen again!

Hi Dai,

You should be okay with what you have - there are no guarantees but it\'s the decat that really throws things out.

Just dont push your engine until its sorted and it will hopefully be fine. I know its tempting but just take is easy for a month and then have some fun when its sorted!

I\'ll take it steady though I\'m not sure how often I\'ll be getting out in it anyway -works gone mental!

Still I\'ll know not to get too throttle happy when I do take it out for a spin!
