Hi everyone,

I'm looking at recommisioning my 1996 FD, it has been off the road and waiting for some time now. Does anyone have any recommendations for a specialist who could take this on, either in or near to Berkshire please?

It needs a new clutch slave cylinder, battery and some ancillary parts putting back on (air filters etc, all of which I have). It will also need new brake discs and pads and likely the calipers rebuilding. It has been sat for a while so the fuel tank will also need draining.

Any help or advice would be gratefully received.

Thanks!

Id say all of that is pretty much diy, ok calipers more specialist but you could send them to Big Red for refurb.
Slave is fiddly but ok job with a mate pumping the pedal.
Discs and pads real easy.

Cheers boosted, I agree these things are all DIY'able, but I really don't fancy doing it on the drive and would much rather send it off to a specialist to take care of  ;D

Good to see another FD going back on the Road. A specialist is not required for the work you describe as this can be carried out by any good local garage.

Hope this helps.
All the best Clive

Where are you located ??. I use Reworx at the moment, but as has been said, some of the work does not require rotary experience. I use a mobile mechanic  who is reading based for general work.
