Model Identification With VIN No?

I am looking at an RX7, but the garage owner has no info on which particular trim/model it is.

Is it possible to decipher the VIN number and see what model it actually is?

(And are there any web sites that list the FD RX7 variants?)

Open the drivers door and there should be a white sticker on the door frame with the cars model designation - unless someone has peeled it off!
