Hi all,

I would like to ask if anyone knows of a map tuner around the Wales / South West of England? A tuner with experience tuning the Apexi FC would be preferable. Thanks for any info you can share.

Hi Jeff, nice to meet you at the Christmas meal.

For a re-map your going to have to travel I'm afraid.

This may help, from memory your car is stock and if you have bought a new Apexi then it will learn on initial start-up (you put all the electrics on and run the car for 5 minutes  then it will run happily on the base map without the need to re-map.

Hope this helps.

All the best Clive

Hi Clive - It is indeed a bit of a travel just to get it mapped again hence I have been trying to enquire around and see whether there was anything less than 100 miles away :) The car is pretty much stock bar the gas injection - hence the Apexi is a useful tool to have to re map the fuelling for a fuel that is less dense but cleaner burning and higher octane than conventional unleaded petrol.

Thanks Boosted, I have had things done with them before and they are closest to me in terms of a rotary specialist. It is a nice trip once I get off the dreary M4 and onto the A roads once gone past junction 13  ;)

Installing a matching downpipe for my cat back set late next month and having it garaged for 3 weeks while I am away most of February and then hopefully change the intercooler / induction setup shortly after too so I can re map the car all in one go. Saves me travelling a long way to re map it twice, and I guess I have to strategise a bit knowing that I will be away and then having those two things done as separate jobs rather than one... Thanks anyways guys! I did consider buying the data logit for the Apexi FC and 'learn' to tune with from the laptop (Brian O' Conner style  :D) but would need specialist dyno to get it right anyway so that faded like a bed dream lol!
