Tim at RXmotors has recommended going down to 195/60/R14\'s for my first gen series3 and sugested Bridgestone or Yokohama. There seems to be a number of different models in that size from both manufacturers and my local ATS says the Bridgestone and Yokohamas are to soft. They recommended the new Avon Z3. Advice please? I use the car as my runabout between ski slopes all over the country so I do a lot of motorway driving plus local roads.

I\'d trust Tim\'s advice as much as anyones, but check out //www.mytyres.co.uk  They have a handy review of many of the tyres they sell.

I have ZZ3\'s on the rear wheels of my FD and they seem too hard to me.  Grip is reasonably good, but I\'m seeing no wear on them.
