Did you have the exhaust done? I\'m curious to the pros/cons of having an X-pipe

My XJR didnt have one from what I know, sounded great

X pipe on a cross plane V8 will aid top end due to some scavenging from each side of the exhaust. Obviously not an out and out performance car so the V8 sound is more pronounced without.

I had the exhaust done to my spec, then later on I added a couple of small straight through silencers to stop the cabin being noisy.

As bimble says, its about the rumble rather than getting any more ponies
