Hi All

My FPR was leaking fuel so I\'ve had a second fuel rail with the FPR fitted and the leak has gone however, and it\'s a big however, the the car sounds terrible!  The revs are going up and down, the boost level is going up and down.  When I step on it, it kind of chokes and then the power comes in and the car accelerates okay but it sounds very lumpy with tons of unburnt fuel comiing out of the exhaust.

The mechanics assured me that they haven\'t blown my engine and that they will look into the problem.  I sincerely hope that they are right.  The car sounds terrible. Rough and in trouble...

Matt from HP Customs with whom I had a conversation regarding this issue ( he has not fitted the FPR ) and who unfortunately is no longer based in London is convinced that I have an air lock and that the mechanics must have disturbed something under the plenum when they were dealing with removing and replacing the fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator.  He says that all the symptoms sounds like air lock or air trapped somewhere.  Even the fact that the BOV comes in almost instantly and HKS suction kit releases pressure almost instantly, indicates air lock. So I need to get that sorted first.
I would welocome some advice before Monday when they will look at my car again

Hi
You are right,
Mine is 96 so as I understand from Jit who just rung me kindly offering to have a look at the car to see if he can spot something, 96 has a different set up when it comes to the hose pipes
