Hi all,

Just wondering how much of a pain in the butt it is to convert from KPH to MPH?

I imagine its a little box of tricks that changes the pulses into the speedo but what about the digital mileage?

I don\'t want a 7 that reads 100,000 miles :)

hi

ive recently done my own sva conversions, its a black box with about 6 wires that you need to tap off the wiring loom, cut some wires and screw a couple to the speedo. it sounds worse than it is. i see your only in wales so depending on how far away you are i could always give you a hand if you get stuck.

There are performance cars and then there is the RX-7...........

12.3 second 1/4 mile, terminal speed of 122mph (1st ever drag run on a TO4R)

engine built by....... umm me! now powered by a T51 Kai......

Yeah to change the speedo reading is fairly easy, just a black box of tricks for about £40. You can change the mile o-meter but it may cost you at least £100 and I\'m not sure of anyone that has actually had it done, only people who have had quotes. Hopefully someone who has had the change made will be able to confirm.

Regards, Paul:)

Thanks guys,

Dave - I\'m quite a bit from Bristol, I do have an aunt down there so it could be an excuse ;), I\'m quite handy when it comes to cars so hopefully I should be alright (thanks for the offer though!), I recently did my (now sold) prelude:

I\'m assuming the RX box is similar in size to the Prelude\'s one? (little blackbox on top of the dash)

I take it the mileage is stored on an EPROM and needs reflashing?

no the rx box is the sixe of a match box and the wires dont have any connectors on them.

I think your possibly looking at the silver box, its the small black one sitting on top of the dash, thats prolly about matchbox size - not that it really matters :)
