Great stuff, although I must say Sean your 1/4 is rather slow for a single turbo street port :( I should have ran It for you. 12s easy :D

I\'ve sent Santa Pod a message asking them if there\'s any chance of having the full results for the "God of the Pod" competion as I know i\'d be interested in how I did and i\'m sure everyone else who took part would be interested as well.
Oh and big well done to Shaun, told you it was worth taking your car up the strip :Tongue1.

lol.

Car is setup for track more. It has a heavy rear antiroll bar and strong springs. Intake temps where close to 60deg on the line so power was well down too.

Didn\'t get a fantastic launch and wheel spun in 2nd quite easily.

Plus I haven\'t done many runs, do agree it is a 12 second car easily. I\'m just not a 12 second driver :Giggle

60 celcius!!! Holy crap someone needs WI. Or do you have it but not set low enough?

shaunwil

I have WI so it dropped back to about 40deg quite quickly (got a fast reacting air temp sensor too) but I was struggling to do a decent burnout to get the water to fire into the system to get the temps down for the launch but I\'m still learning.

I\'d say ambient air temps where 30+

Yeh temps were hot, when I got home around 7pm that day I checked weather down there and it said temps were still in the high 20s at that time!!

What threshold does your water kick in? Where are you injecting? Me Kev and Chris were discussing WI and placements for it along with what boost it kicks in. We prety much settled on pre turbo or pre intercooler as that\'s where your going to get the most cooling effect from your whole system with the water. If your injecting methanol then that does cooling once it\'s in the combustion camber. Also if running just 14.7psi then injecting it from as low as 5 psi is the best option as you will not be at full boost all of the time.

I think we convinced chris to go pre intercooler instead of at the tb elbow as he will get better cooling for sure. He may even consider pre turbo. Just need a good air assisted WI nozzle to get the droplet size right down

Doesn\'t pre-turbo help with atomisation so you get better cooling?

Apparently putting details of your car spec in your signature means the nice folks on exile-rotorsport think you\'re a fool.  I can think of no higher compliment!

Even after the intercooler, as long as the nozzle is working well to atomize the water, it still can play a massive role in reducing temperatures and controlling flame front in the combustion chamber.

In fact this is where the water is doing most of it\'s work.  WI gives a lot less cooling compared to Methanol or Ethanol in the induction area, but far more useful work in the combustion chamber.
