Nur spec R question?

Just purchased a nur spec but was wondering if anyone could clear this up for me, the system is 3 inch but then drops to about 2.75 inch at the flange? this normal for a nur spec R

I wise idea, as I\'ve been advised to do with my Apexi Titanium system ( that does the same, tapers down to 2.75" .... especially if you\'ve a 3" decat / silenced midpipe :mmmm

Funny my nurspec R doesn\'t taper down at all it\'s exactly the same diameter as my 3" straight pipe I got this system as a whole package and it\'s all 3". I\'ve had it off many times but now you have me wanting to check again but I\'m 99% there is no tapered part

Mine doesn\'t taper, Apexi is the only one I\'ve seen that does this.

Don\'t think it\'s the s version because there\'s no jasma approved plate on the exhaust, bit of a ball ache! My system is 3 inch from the turbo back, any one think this would cause much of a restriction or am I being to fussy?
