Hi All, it has occurred to me that not everybody knows what Rotorstock is and why it is important to our wonderful Rotary Community,

In a nutshell " Rotorstock is an event where regardless of Rotary club or even being in a club, where owners of Rotary’s old and new can show the world what great cars we all own"

Below is a preview of what will be written in next week’s Santa Pod programe and hopefully many of you will now read this and understand how important this event is to all of us Rotary owners and that if it is not supported there may never be a Rotorstock 10!

Welcome to Rotorstock 9/ Born in the USA!.

The foundations of Rotorstock actually started many miles away in California with an event called Sevenstock and on the formation of Mazdarotaryclub 10 years ago we were keen to promote and have people take the little 1300cc Rotary Engine more seriously, so by taking the theme used with Sevenstock where all Rotary’s got together for once a year regardless of belonging to a club or not Rotorstock was born, but with a difference!

Sevenstock in America was a static event but we wanted to show that the Rotary was not just a Show vehicle but also a GO vehicle, so it was off to the Drag strip!

Rotorstock is proud of the fact that it actually held the first proper heads up competitive Drag Racing for Japanese cars in Europe at Rotorstock 1, then at Rotorstock 2 we introduced the first ever Drift Championship for the brand new Drift scene.
Ever since then  in conjunction with Santa Pod, Mazdarotaryclub  has tried to make each year’s Rotorstock a little different and this year is no different by incorporating Rotorstock event into a Santa Pod resurrected event called “God of the Pod”.

All this means we should have a great day today, with something for everyone, be your taste Rotary or Piston Power, have fun out there.

Please note/

This year’s Rotorstock is an event within an event with the Rotary Stand having pride of place at Santa Pod and then "piston" cars holding their own event alongside, called God of the Pod.

The whole idea of this is to give not only us a lot more to look at, but also to showcase and promote our Rotary’s to the piston world.

We hope to see you there next Saturday morning for a Rotorstock that will see our cars out on the strip, the sprint track, on show and most importantly Rotary enthusiasts enjoying each other’s cars and company, see you there

I have started this thread away from the other thread that is running so it does not get lost but more details can be found about tickets on both these links below.
