hey guys just in need of some help

basically my horn isnt working it hasn\'t for about 4 months but now as my mot is due and i need a working horn

there\'s no voltage coming thought the wire from the boss and when i take it off but also there\'s no voltage on the steering column were the little rod that pokes out touches the boss

lastly were\'s the fuse i had a look at the fuse box and its not on there :(

any ideas?

The fuse box for the horn I am guessing should be on the drivers side, its up in the footwell near the accelerator, can be a bit tricky to get there but I would check those fuses first.

you can have another switch somewhere accesable to the driver as a last case scenario to get it through the test

just a little update it turned out to be the cold solder joints so my mate who works for a huge electronic manufacturing engineering company 2 largest in the county irrc took it in and had a engineer to look ant it and give it a once over and he presto it works

lets jut hope it passes its mot tomorrow

yep front and rear sills

but i guess at least now it gives me a excuse to give the sub frame a once over do the arches because tbh the rust and underside of the car was the only thing letting it down

best part was he didnt even test the horn haha

When you get the welding done on it ask them to reinforce the jacking points as well, will give you peace of mind when you jack up the car to do any work to it :)

What were the emissions like?
