hi, i was wondering if i would need to get my 94 fd remapped if i changed to a front mount intercooler? just now i am running an arc standard mount 1. i am still running twins, have 1680 secondries, been decatted and am running an apexi ecu and filters. thanks

Yes, with most changes you should get a re map, you\'ll have different volume and flow in terms of boost from the turbos which could result in boost spike, which can cause engine damage
The car will still be drivable, just don\'t go flooring it until you get the few pounds spent on a re map to be safe for an expensive engine

thanks for that, i will prob not put 1 on for the moment then as its a 550 mile drive each way to see carl hayward for a remap session

Grant Monkhouse

The best advice I could give is to ring carl and ask him what he thinks. If you are having high air temps then I would swap to a larger from mount. Your ecu measures the air inlet temp and would welcome cooler air for sure.

after your input grant monkhouse i gave him a call and it would need a remap. on idle in traffic my fc commander shown a temp of 55 but that drops to about 28-30 when not in traffic, do you think this is excessive?
