completely new to rx7\'s, and new to turbos too, ive done a lot of research on different bits, but im struggling to find some info on a few bits.
these may be some stupid questions but im trying to learn and we all had to learn somewhere :)

1. What is this? what does it do? and how does it work? do i need it? if i dont need it, whats the proper way of removing / replacing it?

(the black bit on top with the vacuum line on the side)

2. the same questions as number 1

3. the correct way of removing the nats nest? i know you need to wire in some resistors, which ones do i need? what plugs do the resistors need to be sat in? and anything else i should know about this?

in case your wondering why im asking, i brought an rx7 without doing too much research first (big mistake i know, i was just too excited i think) and within hours of owning the car i had an incident involving a lorry / crash barrier.
so having the engine still working fine i brought a rolling shell to swap the engine over, after swapping the engine over i found a few things that were different on my engine compared to others.

Thanks
Sean :)

No 1 : Not really all that sure, long time since I had the twin turbo setup.

No 2 is a recirculation valve that is used with the Blow-off valve. You will want to keep it.

N0 3 : Are you running non sequential on the turbos ?? Also the resistor is for the fuel injectors when you swap over to larger ones to allow them to not damage an aftermarket ecu. Are you fitting bigger injectors ?

yes im running non sequential at the mo, i didnt plan to use bigger injectors, is there still a need for the resistors without bigger injectors?

and do i link the recirculation valve and the BOV together? (i have a HKS SSQV)

thanks for the info so far :)

Before you start poking with the boost levels make sure you uprate the fueling to give you a better safety margin, its usually the fueling or cooling that fails which then takes the engine out, best to spend a bit of cash now on upgrading bits now its out that having to take the engine out when its blown lol

Theres no such thing as a stupid question, its only stupid if you don\'t ask the stupid question beforehand :)

haha thats very true :) and i dont plan to up the power quiet yet, i mainly want to tinker with the body work, then maybe progress onto a different engine at the end of the year (winter project)

1st picture looks like one of the actuators. You will need to keep this :)
Why its good to do your homework of "specialists"

The top one is basically a flap which stops the boost from the first turbo bleeding through to the second before the second is spooling so helps prevent lag or boost leak, charge control valve.
