air filter questions

As a newbie an never having owned a turbo before i was a little suprised and confused to find this under the bonnet.


Upon closer inspection after i got the car home i have decided it has got to go, apart from looking worse than the ITG i had on my fto it looks like it has never been cleaned and has a few small holes in it.
So what would people recommend, and what are all those pipes on the back of the filter? I assume the 2 big pipes goto the turbo\'s but the 4 small pipes? Are these engine breather pipes and would they also fit onto the back of any other filter i get or will i need to route them into a catch can or fit those little breather filter things on them??
All the filters i have found look more like the one i got for my fto i.e. just for a single intake tube??

Mark, yes the two big pipes are for the turbo\'s, two of the smaller pipes are for the dump valve/charge valve, one other small pipe is for the air pump. As for the forth I cant remember.
