Tyre Sizes

If you have differ width wheels front and rear then your profile will be different front to back.

I had 235/40/18s on the frontage 265/35/18 on the rear. This is to keep the overall diameter the same and stop your car looking like its leaning forward, and to also keep the rolling radius as close to the standard size.

I think 18s sit nice on an fd but would go with 17s on my

sorry guys, need to put my hands up here and say I was wrong. I\'ve always thought tyre profile was based on wheel diameter not tyre width.

true that! it deffo makes more sense to do profile by diameter though!

I never understood why the width effects the diameter, still don\'t. Ha. I just let the guys in the wheel shop make the right selection after giving them the original tyre/wheel sizes
