Recently bought a FD RX7, bought it in a "non running" state.

However, after putting some fresh fuel in and charging the battery, managed to get it going!

It\'s running rough as hell! Doesn\'t want to idle, miss-firing etc etc.. if I take my foot off the accelerator it just dies!

When I put the ignition on, the rev counter reads all over the place

When the engine cuts out, the TPS sensor makes a buzzing sound! I unplug it and it does go away.

Other things to note, i\'ve renewed the plugs. The car also has an apexi power FC ECU

Any help please? Total new to this.. where do I start?

compression test was next on my to do list

Thanks

New plugs,  if it a twin turbo, try resetting the pfc as you will prob want it mapped anyway. Let it learn the idle, but could be vac pipe split, check map sensor and pipe. Comp test
V8 fd\'s rock :cool

philiwily

I could probably have quick look at it over the weekend if you like.
