Possible fun competition next year - mini moto drag racing?

Hi all,

I have been banned from riding a bike/owning a bike as a mode of transport by my family, but I still like the idea of them and do watch motoGP etc although they seem ok for me to own a powerful FC lol but hey lol

My idea is simple, mini moto + modding + drag strip = fun

I was just thinking that unlike other motorsports where you need a trailer or something to move the vehicle around these would need anything, it would just need some boot space as they are very small.

I was just wondering if anyone has:

a. got one
b. raced it
c. modded it

Please note that I know they are not for the public road and I don\'t intend on doing such, but I thought it might be fun if I were to get one at some point maybe next year along with maybe others on this club to have a fun contest etc.

There could be rules such as:

• Must have OEM engine - overbores allowed
• Any mod is allowed
• All mods must be carried out by the owner

Having a mini contest like this might be a lot of fun and would allow for testing of ideas at very low cost - I believe you can get a full bike for less than £200

I am guessing as Santa pod is an off road event you would only need a driving licence to sign up?

Just wondering what people though about the idea, would be fun to mod the bike and see what it can do :Giggle
