A drill, a 3.5mm drill bit, and some zip ties.

What could be harder?! It\'s how I\'ve had my splitters fitted for the last 3 years!

B.Martin

Did you drill the metal on the wing as well? That\'s the part I\'m not sure about, plus I don\'t have a drill :Giggle

Pics Ben?

Drill holes in the new splitter, that line up with the holes on the underside of the bumper. Then you\'ll be fine! TBH, you might even be able to use the standard bolts rather than zip ties if you drill the holes in just the right places.

The front is held on by 3 zip ties - 1 each side, 1 dead centre, then the sides are zip tied up using the standard holes found underneath the wings. (and yes, the sides of that splitter currently sit about 1.5" from the floor!)

Righty then, hopefully I\'ll have a go Sunday with a mate.

there\'s no way I can get away with a splitter round here, as much as I\'d like to have one :(

Its pretty good out here, there are speed bumps but not anywhere where i would take the rex. I mean when i\'m lowered i can imagine that i\'ll have the occasional bit of fun, but my 106 GTI had a splitter from a espace on it and it was low and franky i couldn\'t get on/off my mums drive without scraping so its nothing new to me :D

You can more or less see on this pic that there is only a few inch gap between the splitter and the floor :Giggle

No we can\'t, because the piccy requires you to login to the owners club :p

Skifledanabit, I doubt your roads are worse than mine, and I can run the splitter as shown on the car above. A. dodge pot holes. B. crawl over speed bumps in 1st. C. have suspension that doesn\'t move (like mine).

To get out my village I have to either go over a speed bump, or go along a road so bumpy and cambered I catch the floor with both the exhaust and subframe. And I can STILL run the splitter! (I say that, but I ripped the splitter off AGAIN today. This is why I use cable ties!)

Skifledanabit

Haha, hence why I don\'t want one, too much hassle, speed cushions round here are manic

106 wankers.

As I say i\'m certainly not concerned about speed humps here, there are some in the villages but are easily avoided either by slowing the hell down or just taking another route. The road surfaces are pretty good actually I have to say, better than the uk in a lot of places. I\'ll take my cable ties with me and try and attach it with them, hopefully I\'ll be able to - after all I only need a drill right? It was just the side parts I wasn\'t sure about didn\'t want to have to drill into the metal where the bumper and the wing meet. I\'ll give it a good shot and post pics up Sunday afternoon of I manage to do it, I appreciate the help.

Finally got it on, needed some fabrication with an angle grinder though for me to be happy. And frankly I\'m still not 100% happy, but I guess if I wanted something perfect I\'d have brought a shine auto one... And Seen as I\'m Grinders understudy thats not going to happen :Giggle
