I just use normal ATF with a tube of stuff from forte that helps seals etc but I also run a massive 12 row oil cooler in the system aoni can\'t advise on how much I require but it will need bleeding and 2 litres should be more than enough

Yes o had an oil oil cooler lying around so rather than buy a smaller more suited size I just bought sone fittings and used that in the return line too save boiling the fluid which was happening way too much causing the steering too be like driving with cement in the ps lines lol

But since fitting the cooler I\'ve never had an issue

The PS already has a cooler though?

Not quite man enough tho as if I ended up on full lock too long (remember my racks travel Is maxed out with mazdatrix super lock kit and I have modified steering knuckles)
With the revs up real
High while drifting the fluid would start too overheat and steering would become really heavy

This is interesting, post it in the \'drift section\' ;)

Ha ha I thought the problems of boiling power steering was fairly common
Also at the local crail full circuit days you can stay out as long as you want which can obviously push temps really high too the point I\'m gonna use my spare oil cooler linked too the exsisting one as a preventative just incase

the standard PS system takes about 1L of Dex III fluid, so should be the same for other ATF fluids.
