Hi everyone,

Im going to be changing my plan on my FC and am thinking of fitting a FMIC but still deciding, are there any FMIC cores that can handle the higher BHP without being MASSIVE (there isn\'t much space at the  front of the FC for air to enter lol)

Would fitting a longer narrower core be the same as a wider shorter core?

I have just measured up the Hayward rotary V mount, and it seems that these are the caluclations on size and volume of the IC (hopfully in getting this right!)

Size is 40cm x 30cm x 7cm = 1200cm2 and 8400cm3

Possible size for FMIC on my FC

80cm x 20cm x A = 1600cm2

meaning:

8400/1600 = 5.25cm depth

So it seems that I could run a thinner core with the space I have and still get the same volume of air inside the IC. Or indeed a shorter core but slightly thicker.

The air would also have a straigher path through the IC as it would be just like having a pipe that just happens to cool the air lol

Can I have some suggestions on what size FMIC I should think about for the higher power engines, I am aware that the FMIC will increase lag a bit, but as its been put to me, the T88 isn\'t exactly going to spool at 2.5k like my OEM FC turbo lol
