Its a 1938 Scott flying Squirrel with a 600cc water cooled 2 stroke engine. Revolutionary for its time, as the Wankel was for its time.

A Scott... pre-war I\'ll wager..... very nice... taking it to the TT Dibs?

I wagered right then... thought it was!

TT\'s that would be nice, got to pass my test first, never took the motorcycle test, only had scooters and they were all less than 250cc, so never needed to pass

I\'m not (that) old, but I knew it was Flying Squirrel. Only one I ever saw that still looked that good was at Sammy Miller\'s museum down in the New Forest. Very nice. Now get a supercharged split single NSU to compliment the collection :rollin

Ada7

Is the tank made by Super Now :p

Looks like it would be rather an experience to ride!

2 strokes and rotaries do go together rather well, they both have that lovely keen revvy feeling :)
1984 Rx7: Gold. Edging towards roadworthyness!

re japi

Nice... :) im little curious, was it expencive...? 8)
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

It was left to me by my father some 9 years ago, but has been in a friends garage since, just throught I should do something with it now.
As for value its worth a lot more than my RX7

Looks lovely mate, a large single 2 stroke is quite a different experience - as an "ex biker" I\'ve had all sorts - from old BSAs to new "superbikes"...I reckon you\'ll enjoy riding that one :)

CHC (RIP)

Appears to be in good condition Dibs - have you done anything to it yet?
If not, I can see where you get your talent for perfection from

Hi Cliff
Its not been touched since the old boy passed, I now need to find someone that knows how to get it running, I\'ve been on the owners club forum, but they are not as forthcomming as us, but only time will tell.
