What type of Ignition is the Stock Setup?

I currently looking into some new technology for my ignition setup and need some technical questions answered :wave

One questions the company who is designing the system is asking is,

is the FD ignition positive or negative based ignition system?

My thinking is that is a positive system and passes onto a negative earth, but actually im just guessing.

Can anyone shed some light ??

They basically want to know if its a negative or positive spark
