what temp do fans come on?

Hi guys

Just a quick question?

What temp do the fans come on? on a fd3  as mine dont come on at idle that ive noticed, just worried about cooking my engine now ive fitted a new radiator?

if you mean from water temp fd thermo switch is 107 degrees then there is seperate temp set at ecu then your a/c switch. the fans are 3 speed and increase with each of the previous settings.   so a/c switch speed 1 then if thermo switch comes on they go to speed 2 and so on.
 
an easy mod that ive done is fit an fc thermo switch which is a straight swap and is 89 or 87 degrees so comes on a little earlier.

i think mine used to come on at 95oC, however i think you can reset them to come on at whatever temp you feel is important.
