rad cap spewing water when opened....

i have a single turbo set up with the AST deleted.

i went for a drive yesterday.... thought i would go for another today.
but before hand i checked the oil and water!

when i removed the water cap it threw out a small amount of water under pressure.

what would cause this?
and what would fix this?

it would cause there is pressure in the system when hot

Was the coolant hot or had you been running the car at all before you checked it?

no! the car had been cold 24hours!
