As per the title I need to replace the above hose and connector....

The local Mazda dealer is being a pain getting the parts from.

Is there any reason why the plastic connecting bit that goes to the block from the hose can\'t be ditched, and a water hose run directly to the block?

If so then I can get a hose made up that should do the job...

Otherwise does anyone know a good supplier that I could get both the connector and the hose from?

cheers. :Thumbs-up

I want to know the same thing, as my plastic bit snapped when bypassing the heater (problem: http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?p=755628#post755628 )

I did not get an answer to that question, so I ordered a new connector from a mazda dealer - apparently they do not stock the actual hose anymore either.....:2Confused

My FC hose had a leak there, was just replaced with some standard coolent hose lol no plastic bits for an FC engine just a metal pipe coming out the housing lol

For an FD it\'s a metal pipe coming from the housing, and on that is a plastic connctor which connects to the rubber hose.
The plastic snapped when taking off the heater hose. We just wrecked off the remaining plastic and slid a new rubber hose directly onto the metal pipe.

Whoever at mazda thought that would be a good idea to make a plastic joiner there should be shot on sight.

On this pic, in the middle you can see the plastic bit. It should be longer, but that part is stuck in the hose I took off... LOL
