Hi Everyone, I am a bit confused  at the moment..

Right, I am using 044 Bosch Fuel Pump in Tank.

Normally, when you buy the 044 Bosch pump you buy banjo set with it.

Now, instead of putting banjo set on the car, I am running straight through nozzel.. where the fuel is sent straight up wards! However, if you install a banjo fittings, the fuel is sent from the side of the 044 standard nozzle.

I am told that straight through nozzel is not good and I am risking blowing my engine.

Can everyone plz comment..

I am also confused writing this thread as I don\'t know how to explain it more firmly..

Syed,

Having spoken to you....I wanted to clear up the confusion, so I gave Bosch a ring.

The Bosch Party line is...the check valve needs to be in place.  Removing it will invalidate any warranty.  The reason it is there is to maintain line pressure.  It will prevent the pressure from dropping off when the car is turned off.  The concern I had about the fuel running back through the pump isn\'t too much of a worry with the pressures we are running in the fuel system.

Bosch also state that the pump shouldn\'t be run internally, as it is an external pump.  However industry has proven this to be wrong!  Removing the check valve is certainly a way to increase flow.  But why you didn\'t just remove the valve rather than just drilling it out is a mystery to me!!  It is still an M12x1.5 fitting.

So although Bosch will stick to their guns and say the pump shouldn\'t have the valve removed, their motor sport dept have indicated there isn\'t a problem with it.
