Whats that smell . . .

Evening peoples,

Just a quick question, which no doubt will turn out to be expensive!

Over the past couple of days when I have been on full boost in 4th or 5th, I have noticed a really strong smell of petrol.  Also if you plant your foot right down in 3rd, 4th or 5th theres a loud rushing noise and that same strong smell of optimax.

It dosent smell of petrol when driving around normally, only on full boost.  Has anyone got any ideas that could shed some light on this problem for me??

inlet manifold gasket ?

the pulse dampner on the fuel rail has a nasty habit of leaking too.

Well the inlet manifold gasket went just before Christamas and I had it done at Rotechnics cos I didnt really know much about the Rex at the time.

I wouldnt have thought it would be have gone again . . . would it?
Wouldnt I have an idle problem like I experienced before if that gasket has gone?  I\'ve only done 1500 miles in it since xmas??

Wat symptons would I have if the pulse dampner has gone??
