Strange headlight problem. Pop up button?

Right I\'ve just had my engine rebuilt and when I got it home I checked all my lights and noticed on my c-west lights that the passenger side bulb was out but when I took it apart the bulb looked fine. Then the following day when I was hoovering the car I pressed wat I assume is the pop up lights button and the passenger headlight came on and the drivers one didn\'t lol

So I know it works but why dosnt it come on by the stalk? Could it be a mixed up wire? And the button that makes it come on is to the right of the speedo rev counter etc

Any help would be appreciated :wiggle
