Hi there,

First post so go easy!

I have had my RX8 for 6 months now and I need to get a full set of rubber.

Currently it has Bridgestone\'s all round but I really dont want to spend £150+ on each tyre.

Is there any reason why I shouldn\'t go for some £80 Falken\'s? Do all tyres work with the puncture repair kit for the RX8?

I know the Bridgestone\'s perform better but I wont be taking it on a track.

Any friendly advice much appreciated. :Hammer

Ive had Falken 452\'s front and rear on my fd and they were an excellent budget tyre, i have since changed to eagle F1\'s and tbh the difference isnt noticable.

Bridgestones imo are the best you can buy but if your car is primarily a street car then the Falkens are a great street tyre.

First up welcome to Mazdarotaryclub :WaveBye

I have tried 4 different sets of tyres on my RX-8 and found the Falkens a very good cost effective alternatve to Bridgestones :Thumbsup!

Yes the kit will work on any tyre,

Hope this helps

The Falken\'s are very good - Kumho KU31\'s and Federal 595\'s are also good for the money :)
Have a look for T1r\'s on Camskill as well - they are often very cheap :)

What he said - camskill have some excellent deals - get decent tyres at budget tyre prices :)  Most tyre places will fit your own tyres for £20-30 notes.

The last time the wife\'s RX8 needed rear tyres I got twoKUMHO KU31 91Y and they feel fine good for every day use. The car is totally standard and never been on a track.
