Anyone heard of Rear Suspension sinking and rubbing Prop-shaft??

Hello,  hopefully the ridiculousness of this statement??  has made you look.

I\'ve got a 1992 efini (manual).  when you accelerate hard you get this continuous Ttthddddrrrmmpping sound.

Someone told me my rear suspension needs replacing and its the rear end sagging during acceleration that causes some sort of rubbing..

Does this make sense to any of you??  anyone have any better suggestions.. other than "get another transimission"

Any good places in the Berkshire area to get it to that can tell me?
