Had the bonnet up today and was poking around, saw one of my pipes has started to collapse. Although I haven\'t noticed anything wrong with the car would this cause any effects on the engine?

What\'s this piece do, release pressure?
Pic below.

This is the pre-control valve. Replace the pipe so that you will get proper transfer of boost.

Easy job to do.

Good! Any easy job - although I\'m sure it\'ll be painful getting in there to put the new one in!!

Oh,  i thought it was a vacume pipe to the dump valve, but its been a while since i have seen a standard engine bay.
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

Fish

You\'re correct in thinking it\'s a vacume pipe, coz it is! ;)

But the dump valve is next to the air filter box, this is the one next to the turbo pack looking at the picture.

Yep just gotta get me some replacement hoses, any UK supplier web links out there for decent prices?

I\'ve got a HKS dump valve too, which is located a little further to the right of the pic - just incase you wondered!:D

You will only need about 25cm of hose, which I think even Halfords could supply.

Isn\'t that the pipe that controls the CRV (Charge Relief Valve).  If so, replace it staright away.  The CRV controls what happens to the 2nd turbo\'s boost B4 and after transition...

cruiser

This could be potentially dangerous.... boost spike at transition
