Hi

I thought I would post up a few things for those that have never attended the Spring Rotor show and a reminder for those of you that have.

Firstly you should use the Campbell gate entrance - NOT MB World. There is an area outside the main Brooklands building that will be reserved for rotaries.  Map here:
http://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/index.php?/your-visit/how-to-get-here/

The parking area for us on the day is outside the Main Club house and cars will be parked up on the basis of who arrives first. Once this area has been filled up, we will then park the rotaries just outside this area.

Once you get to the pay gate, we will check your name off if you are Full club member and your enetrance will be free.  However, you will need to pay for any addtional passengers or children unless you have a family membership.

Adult £9.90
Senior Citizen/Student £8.80
Children (5-16) £6.05
Children under 5 FREE
Family ticket £27.50
(2 adults & up to 3 children)

Please see this thread with regards to the Test Hill Challenge (weather permitting)
http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63866&highlight=test+hill

Also weather permitting, we hope that we will be able to take the cars up on the banking for a photo shoot. Please note that Brooklands charge £10.00 per vehicle for this. The monies goes towards the up keep of the home of British Motor Racing. We will plan to do this for 1.00pm if permitted.

There will be lots trophies to award, so get cleaning!

Lastly there will be a small commemorative plaque for you to take home as a memento of your day at Brooklands.

Look forward to meeting many of you there. Hope you all have a good day out.

To make the most of your don\'t forgot you can also visit Mercedes World via short walk through from the Museum.

25th April is also national classic car "Drive It" day so MRC  is likely to be joined by a variety of classics at Brooklands which is one of several rallying points for old cars across the country.

Last time this \'clash\' took place the classics just loitered uncomfortably on the outskirts of the of the member\'s enclosure, not wanting to get in the way of something \'on at Brooklands\'   As Drive-it day has no real organisation attached the drivers might appreciate a friendly wave and add an interesting and eclectic element to the MRC line up!

Have a good day...:)

Lisa can you confirm if people will need to pay the above as this is so Brooklands can claim the gift aid or if they can pay either of the prices that\'s on the Brooklands website ie £9 which means they can\'t claim gift aid or £9.90 which means they can claim the gift aid, this way I can update the RX8OC thread cheers Chris.

:2Confused - Not sure what you mean Chris

They will have to pay the above prices if they are not full club members of MRC.

If you look here on the brooklands website you\'ll see they have two prices one so they can claim gift aid and one if they\'re not claiming gift aid, it\'s all a bit confusing.  At the moment I\'ve told people over on the RX8OC site that they\'ll only need to pay the lower prices, if they need to pay the higher gift aid price then I\'ll put a post up telling them that or if they can pay either price then I\'ll put a post up telling them that.
Hope this makes a bit more sense now.

Cheers Lisa as I said it gets all a little confusing with the gift aid stuff.

If any of you are planing to take the Test Hill Challenge, please note that you MUST attend a briefing before the event.  This will take place at 11.00am so ensure you arrive in plenty of time for this.

Please note that Brett and myself will only be at the pay gate entrance until 11.00am as I have to attend the to club stand, therefore should you plan to arrive after this time I will leave the membership list with the Brooklands staff member at the pay date.
