Got dash lights and tail lights?

First ports of call with all external lighting problems are the dimmer switch on the dash, and, more often than not, the TNS relay on the slam panel.

ones you have marked as dipped... they are side lights, they should be on all the time when your lights are turned on (first click on the stalk) when you go to the second click, one of the big lamps should come on for dipped, then when you push the stalk away, the other should either come on turning the first big lamp off or it should come on as well as the first big lamp.

you will prob find someone has dicked about with the wireing to make them work that way...

basically if you unbolt the light unit you should see the lamps plugged in to a 3 pin headlight connector, most of the time its just spade terminals plugged in, one of the 3 terminals should be earth, one should be 12v on when the stick is dipped, and then the other should be 12v when on main beam...

the lights in your bumper should be wired up elsewhere... unless someone has put the feed light units in, or they have modded the light units to work as headlights... but i cant see why :S easiest would be to do more investigation in to wireing or take it to an auto electrician... shouldnt take them more than 30 mins to sort.

so the dipped isnt working but the main is? whoever fitted the lights might of connected them to a relay so the dipped and mains come on when the main is selected, if so the relay or the fuse might of gone or possibly the bulbs are blown...
