Hi everyone

I was doing some work on my car today, and even though it was stone cold there was stil quite alot of pressure in the coolant system.  When I took the filler cap off to check the level pressure was released.  Is this anything to worry about?

Replace both AST and fill cap then see what it does

It would be more likely that you heard suction of slight vacuum than pressure when stone cold.

What he said :)

Did you have to tug the cap off, or did it pop off itself after you untwisted it?  If you had to tug, then that was vacuum.

That sound right thinking about it.
Carl -I am currently looking at getting a new turbo as you suggested have got the T04e off and you were right it is knackered the blades are badly damaged, I have been looking at a T04S do you think this would be suitable?

HaywardRotary

That should be fine Dave.
