i seem to remember reading something about how some TII as stock has some electronic motor that raises the front of the car by a cm or two. similar to air suspension on low riders that raise and lowers the car.

ie
air suspension and show car

thinking that if the car is very low, this would come in handy for speed bumps. where can i find something that can do this without having air cans in the boot?
if this is possible?

cheers in advance :)

It was on the GTU/GTX cars in the states - AAS - Auto Adjusting Suspension - it worked with adjustable shocks on those cars - the shocks were adjusted by a stepper motor on top of each shock absorber - you may find you have some of the wiring in place for it - I did, but wierdly not all of it.

The adjustment was by a couple of switches that sit in the centre console, and it had speed input as well - so presumably speed senstive.

cheers guys :)

dave: do you know if it works with coilovers or stock suspention only?

mine is the GT-R version, which was 2nd most basic one, no abs, so not even sure if it had wires for the AAS.

will ask over at the us site :)

Tbh I doubt you\'d manage anything without an airbag set-up. Trick suspension setups like that are UBER hard (and expensive) unless you go rob parts off a lambo or something! It\'ll be heavy too.

Colin (from up in the Shetland Isles) has it on his FC Have a look at his build thread on here.
I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

I\'m speaking to a guy atm through work who wants some dampers/coilovers made that he can sit mini hydraulic rams inside/under the spring. And actually, now I\'ve thought about it it\'s actually pretty easy, assuming you can get them the right type!

Can be done IMO!
