Hi guys,

As some of you know, i brought Gyles RX7...

Basically it has a paddle clutch, i think it is track orientated as the biting is on and off and took me a while getting used to it, still not 100% confident with it yet :(

Thing is in reverse it when i try to move off it makes a weird noise, thing the diff or something around that area shakes, and it is starting to annoy me as this is one thing i didnt check when i viewed the car

Could this be down to me not being used to the Racing clutch or does the clutch gearbox have issues?

Please advise...

Have you tried using more revs and \'slipping\' the clutch more than you would when in 1st gear? Only reason being is that when you reverse you usually do it slowly and would normally use very little throttle but as paddle clutches are more \'on and off\' you may need to give it more revs whilst slipping the clutch to prevent it juddering and stalling.

Will have a shot at this tomorrow at work, will let you know the outcome.

Thanks for the quick reply ;)

Its quite common for reverse gear to judder when using some uprated clutches.
Sometimes even 1st will judder on occasion.

Hi Guy\'s I also have a 6 paddle clutch and had the same thing. I thought my back end was going to fall out! I tried new wishbones with good bushes and it helped marginally.. I the end I figured the diff was moving and got under the car to find that yes the stock bushes are very soft and I guess the harsh bite on the 6 paddle clutches really makes it notice. I Also had problems with the engine moving too much again due to warn out stock mounts.. Anyway.. I made up some PU bushes for both ends and fitted them over the bank holiday.. The car is like a rolls royce now! No judder at all! Get marginally more vibration through the car at 1500rpm and very high rpm but that\'s to be expected with a stiffer bush. The whole car feels more solid and responsive too.
I was thinking of getting more made to sell on at some point. If anyone is interested let me know.
