Had the strangest experience with the rex yesterday during a rather nice hot day near Glasgow.
Parked at work in the sun the drivers door would lock but not unlock, after a few attempts it unlocked (the car was roasting inside) but as soon as i locked it again it would not work and i had to enter the car from the passenger door.
I then parked the car in the shade with a window slightly open and the plastic interior trim removed from the back of the lock and after about and hour it worked perfectly!!
Now that the weather is back to its usual, overcast and rainy the lock is working perfectly again.

If your lock isnt working in the sun, bare this in mind....

Cheers

Strange:confused:

Slightly off topic , but i have a Clifford Concept and when ever i park near Pizza Hut or somewhere with big cooking ovens my clifford key fob doesnt work.

It must be the microwaves jamming it out or something and i have to wait till they switch them off.

yep - quite often our microwave oven will upset microwave proximity sensors :eek

...but if the pizza joint you;re talking about does delivery and has a radio system it might be worth checking the frequency setting of the clifford.

I seem to recall a lot of BMW\'s having trouble with Sigma alarms around the early 90\'s.  If you parked them too close to a hospital it picked up the radio signals, and if they didn\'t match it\'s codes then it shut down to avoid being stolen with a fake remote.

Took them a while of towing immobilised cars before they figured it out as I recall... :rollin
