driving the TII today, down the M4, giving it a bit of stick but nothing serious came off the motorway, stopped at some lights car stalls. Hmmm, tried to restart, very unco-operative, eventually starts running very lumpy, not happy to idle, at anything less than 1500rpm the whole car vibrates and sounds awful. Goth the thing home, looking under the bonnet on idle the whole block is vibrating badly. My first though was I\'ve lost a rotor, does that sound like the symptoms?

Also the car\'s done 119k with a re-build by Hurleys at 86k so shouldn\'t need a new engine but...

Well it was going down to Rx Motors for an MOT and inlet manifold gaskett this week but now I think I\'ll be saving my pennies for a rebuild (may as well have it ported too) ho-hum!

That may delay the purchase of the FD for a few months.

yep thats running on one rotor.

Might be the inlet manifold gasket, that you\'ve blown a big hole in it will cause the exact same symptom.

If your inlet gasket was going then it is probably that otherwise i would first check the vacuum lines.
Definately want it mate but the dog has just died so will be getting the missus a new dog for christmas....
Sounds like a good deal but will have to ask the dragon first.....  :flamed  :spank

Similar thing happened on my FD just recently. Had the inlet manifolds off all weekend replacing cracked vacuum hoses.

Lesson is I should have done the Comp test first! No compression whatsoever on one rotor.

I\'ll have fun doing the engine rebuild though. Need something to do on leave and I\'ll save money not driving it!
